RF5 was actually greenlit... but then, the company behind Rune Factory went bankrupt and closed its doors, and now it'll probably never happen.
Too bad, the games were actually getting closer to the kind of romance I like. RF4 added in a female player character; RF5 might have ended up adding homosexuality. But, now we'll never know...

I bought RF4 this year, but... well, I'm sad that Harvest Moon survived in name only) and RF died.
