I mean yeah, you gotta respect Keine for the stuff she has to go through, but that calculator would make her job a hell of a lot easier.
A lot of people who use an abacus will swear that they can go as fast, if not faster with an abacus than a calculator, and slide rules are similar (albeit have an inherent loss of accuracy problem). (And that's a basic 4-function calculator, so it's not like you're going to be doing calculus any faster on it, anyway...)
Some things aren't strictly better, they're just more effort to learn, which is a sunk cost after you've already learned. In a similar vein, if you already know how to ten-finger type on a QWERTY, you're not going to be too interested in a Dvorak keyboard, even if it IS more efficient, and probably aren't all that interested in having everything be touch screens or voice commands.

Dvorak may be somewhat more efficient, but everything was designed around QWERTY. Try going WASD in Dvorak, you just can't
Or maybe just rebind the keys? It's not like this is an unsolvable problem.
I'm not talking just about WASD, most games and programs are designed around QWERTY. You would have to rebind 10-30 keys for every one you deal with. It's very much possible, but not very fun.
It may be complicated with the determination of Keine to “steal” her job... but maybe it could kinda be useful for Kyouko though... (I mean, Yamabiko aren’t good with math, right?)
