There are some subtle differences in the Chinese text. Notably, the Admiral is more assertive and uses less 'polite' speech patterns, compared to the Japanese version.

Also note I'm using Ang Pow instead of Hongbao or red packet/envelope to reflect its Hokkien pronunciation. IIRC the Taiwanese prefer romanizing it Angpau or âng-pau, but "ang pow" (deriving from the older Malayan/Singaporean romanization) is the more common spelling that has entered English dictionaries.
