Pretty sure the reference is to Kouji's (in)famous Komashu comic. That being said, my understanding is that Mash's concept is far older, dating to the early drafts of FSN, but I'm not sure when said concepts actually saw the light of day.

That's right, Mash was supposed to be one of the original FSN heroines, as a masterless Servant of the 4th war.

Material Book 1: Notes had details about the scrapped ideas of Fate/Stay Night. Among them was Shielder, Mordred, Details about Argon Coin, Fate/Prototype and child assassin.
