I mean it kinda depends on how you look at it. Maribel's ability started out as just seeing boundaries, and we all know what became of that. Maybe given time, Renko will be able to manipulate the time and place by looking at the stars and moon, instead of just telling it. There's potential if you look for it.

Damn, that reminds of that one MAD where Renko studies her ass off to learn magic and challenge Yukari after Maribel "disappears" (only for both to get punished by Reimu in the credits). Can't seem to find it though.

Given that time, anyone would. Just imagine a regular human being not aging beyond its prime, living for hundreds, thousands of years.
That human would become a monster beyond all monsters purely by accumulation of knowledge and ability alone. Quite possibly the God Emperor of all mankind were he/she to develop political aspirations. If your regime fails? no problem, go somewhere else, wait a hundred years or so and try again.

Mokou is a prime example of this, starting off as a powerless nobody and look at her now. All that with a couple thousand years of absolutely zero motivation. Imagine all that she could become if she actually put her mind to it, after all it's not like she needs to rush.
