You can see a statue of dog here near Mother Superior, sitting there exactly as the real one would do. I guess this implies the dogs are long gone, but at the same time are still there, part of it all, nevertheless.
The rooster is the only thing that has always been and shall always be.
And thus started the Starry One's career in fishing. I wonder if this goose is the same one that follows her around in the present.
To add to that, neither of the Mother Superior's puppies are around in the present. Wonder what happened to them?
Maybe they got adopted by someone else? Plus, I want to believe that one of the pups was actually a pet of blind girl (popopoka), even if their race is actually different from superior's dogs...
