Proof that there are reasons not to dump Charisma. Clearly there something about Sir Dickens here that the ladies (of all species) like.
Also, I know that this isn't specifically about Dungeons & Dragons, but I feel that now's a good time to point out that plenty of D&D monsters (even -- perhaps especially -- the weird ones) are intelligent and able to speak, and that talking your way past them is worth full XP under the Rules As Written.
