I'd argue that OG Bluey is a canon reverse_trap, since the show initially (first ~20 secs) presents itself as continuing the long established trope of colorcoding and shapecoding the sex of the characters (like how MLP did, and still does), and Bluey has the color and the head/muzzle shape of Bandit. It certainly tricked me, to think that Bluey was a boy. Although inworld people seem to have no issue with identifying Bluey as a girl first.
