the characters are being... just their selves. Still playing their characters. They're more playing that memetic side of their characters like Spe being sadist (IRL Spe is also sadist iirc) during Boomerang-fu episode, NTR and her "CHOUTEN!" jokes, King Halo being an actual First Class Gamer etc.
