He left the server after revealing this info (which is why his name is white in that image), but if he comes back and hasn't resolved this...

I would order a commission, but it seems the artist has closed theirs.

Edit: I also just noticed the artist gives a 30% discount if the commissioned character is March 7th, which apparently wasn't enough to Marto who wanted 100%.

I dug through their Twitter but didn't find anything, though this could be because they want to keep their Twitter page clean and professional.
I considered contacting the artist but I don't want to speak on behalf of Danbooru or something like that before we have something more concrete.

This actually happened. Just send a message on his personal Facebook account and he could tell you about the situation.

So yes, either I pay back 100 USD (preferably double or triple that amount) or I do the bridge-flip. I screwed up and failed the same test again so now I only have this 3-month semester to get out of the college successfully and find a job. I cannot let my mom know about this whole crime after her helping me paying back all those credit loans (about 900 USD) or I would be lynched alive by my dad
