It didn't but the world governments wants you to think that it did. Even now they are keeping the facade by continuously churning out cartoons with 'unique' arts with a language that the Japanese supposedly spoke.
Ah, Vegeta's Final Flash. The most ridiculously over-the-top attack in the entire series. Cell lets Vegeta sit there and power it up for a good five minutes, and only once it's about to hit him does he realize that that was a very bad idea.
Now, forgive me if I don't recall, but how many episodes did Vegeta take to power that thing up, because five minutes DBZ time usually takes like ten episodes.
Regina said: Ah yes. the most EPIC DBZ attack. May not have killed Cell or even hurt him much but it was still the most awesome attack during the Z saga.
It WOULD have killed him had Vegeta actually nailed him head-on. That was just a glancing blow, and Cell can heal those.

Even better in the German dub, with Cell yelling "oh shit!" in English right before it hits him.
this is why main character immunity is bull shit Vegetta practically rearranges the face of earth and cell survives? i mean come on there is just so much wrong with this anime dispite how good it is hardly no decent female roles and it did Vegetta no justice regardless how awsome he is
Rann said: Yeah, Vegeta spent a little too much time developing REAL ULTIMATE POWAH and sort of neglected to learn how to fucking aim it.
Aim it?! That attack was big enough to take out a continent and probably should have eliminated the ozone layer or something! If it really was counted as a glancing blow like Watcher said then Cell must have dodged a few countries over before it hit him. XD
I agree that there's no need to aim such an attack farther than "somewhere... No, EVERYTHING in that general direction."
