I'm obviously just hatin' on a show that I haven't seen (and never will), so let's just leave it at that. Madoka might be good for most people, but I say that I'vebeenspoiledbytoomanyseries that I can't enjoy angst driven shows anymore.

I can't say there is a whole lot of angst in the show. Its dark, sure, but its not angsty in the way Shinji and NGE was.

Funny I'm pretty sure lots of fans are hating on Madoka's wangst. It's just that QB draws most of the hate. For good reason.
Angst isn't what drives Madoka popularity though. It's the suspense each episode builds all the way to the end. Gen's writing also has a knack for making care for the girls, even the ones I can't stand. Also lots and lots of QB hate. *shakes fist*
