No, I think it's more a showing of Meiling's unshakable determination. No matter how many times she is stabbed, danmaku'd, or otherwise beaten up, she will never give up!

Fight on Meiling, you will always be in our hearts!

Nice to see so many people like Meiling. I'm glad. Oh, she isn't at the top of the rank for me, but she's consistently been among my favorite Touhou characters for sure.
