I'm not confident enough in that. The replacement menu recommends reupload+flag for "third-party file conversions", and I'd rather apply that to this as well.

It says in your original post in this thread that third-party sources are replaceable even if they are from different sites. I see no reason to not replace it. Why would it be better to reupload it. Weren't replacements made partly to avoid deletions like this?
I even put the original image into waifu2x to check and I got the same image as the upscaled upload. Please just replace it.

If you view the full size it will be animated, there seems to be a bug with large gif files where they are being resized.

post #3951315 After some digging, the one we have is a sample from pixiv that was recompressed by funnyjunk. The closest version to the original that i could find is https://i.4pcdn.org/s4s/1588743191078.jpg which matches the resolution of the parent variant. The original was deleted by the artist so there's no way to get it, so this is the closest version. (asking since they're visually identical and deleting & reuploading would penalize the uploader, as both are from third party source).

Back when I uploaded it I didn't know what the exact limits were so i arbitrarily resized it to a large res. The full size is still too much for danbooru but this time i've recompressed it losslessly to the highest supported resolution (21000 pixels).
