For tagging purposes, use this tag when one person's crotch is rubbing against another person's body, except for genital-on-genital contact (use grinding, buttjob, tribadism, bulges touching, or penises touching for this). Use crotch rub for rubbing against inanimate objects.
I don't think anyone will follow these rules without checking the wiki especially the exception for genital-on-genital contact. We also apparently have dry humping and humping which are for clothed sexual situations but aren't mentioned in the frottage wiki.
I'm now questioning what things like post #4092731 should be tagged since it seems I've been using imminent penetration wrongly on clothed characters. Users on the discord suggested dry humping and bulge press. Thoughts?
Now here's what I propose:-
Making frottage the umbrella tag just like Evazion proposed 7 years ago forum #99596. The tag name is too ambiguous.
Tags like imminent penetration and buttjob should mention that they should only be used for unclothed situations and point to their clothed variants such as dry humping to help prevent mistags.

The act of pressing one's bulge against something. If it's against an object use with humping, if it's another person (especially against their ass) use with dry humping.
I want to say that two bulges can be touching without being pressed together, but I guess bulge press suffers from the same issue when it's just touching an object, and I couldn't find any example that didn't fit.

Reflecting upon this, I don't feel like tagging a common thing like post #4092731 only non-specific tags like bulge press or dry humping is a great idea (especially when the bulge pressing isn't always that visible).
We need more bulge specific tags anyway if we plan to keep separating it from the numerous penis tags, so after coming across some specific tags like penis on ass, bulge to ass is the name I thought of for now.
Bulge to ass is now populated. However I came across cases like post #4471530 post #4036959 post #3532394 post #4181013 where the situation is very similar, except you can't see the bulge or ass clearly enough. Should these posts be tagged just dry humping or something? I feel like the wiki should clarify how to use it and what alternatives are out there.
I'm also unsure if dry humping is only to be used when both characters are clothed, or if only one is sufficient too. The wiki is very minimalistic. Tags like clothed male nude male could be mentioned in the wikis as well if that's the case.

I don't think penis on ass -> penis to ass is a good idea. The tag is specifically for a penis on top of an ass, just like penis on pussy. "penis to ass" can be all kinds of different things instead.
