Still wondering what to do with those "God Damn It!" pools, as otherwise searching for pools of characters like Yakumo Yukari, Gold Ship (Umamusume), and Oma Kokichi being dicks to people as they tend to be will be a bit of a struggle to find.

I was wondering about this, trolling came to mind.
On a bit of research, TV Tropes defines this as Memetic Troll, even having an entry for Yukari on it.

Either this will work as a tag or facilitate the search for this specific concept though, that's another question.

Ideally, the goal with these character specific pools is to convert them into an easy two-tag search that serves the same purpose (ex: what happened to the old glutton pools).

I've never heard of trolling before this, but I think that tag might work. I'm not sure about "Memetic Troll" tho, as while the pools deal with characters well-known for their trolling even outside their main fandoms, what exactly defines a "memetic" troll as opposed to a regular troll can be rather subjective.

Yeah, I personally don't like "Memetic Troll" was a tag name either. Works well enough for a trope definition, but let's leave it at that.

Completely unrelated, another thing I was wondering about is what could be done with the Pokemon typing pools (like pool #4188, pool #4212, and so on). We have connection tags like power connection and whatnot, but I think those should be better left for crossover situations.

BUR #48730 has been rejected.

Let's try this then. Ideally "[character] + trolling" will serve as a good search for these pools.

That's a good question I was debating myself, staring at the first page of Collection pools, but I don't know or care enough about Pokemon to have any good ideas on that, as I presume people would still want to search for those types, otherwise the pools wouldn't have been made.

Could one of our resident Pokemon uploaders/taggers please chime in here?

Unsure on this because of our distinction between trolling and prank.

From the trolling wiki:

When someone intentionally does something to provoke anger or distress in another person or people for comedic reasons, mainly through verbal or other non-physical means.

For pulling physical pranks of the thumbtack-on-chair variety, use prank instead.

I imagine each feature in these pools so a mass update BUR wouldn't be appropriate.

In Pokemon, a monotype team is a team which all pokemon must share a type in common, so one idea I had was creating a monotype team tag or similar, but that brings a few issues on its own:

  • There are many posts featuring a single pokemon with focus on their type; These pools are not necessarily about teams.
  • There would be no way to search for the type of the pokemon you'd want. You could do some clever tag searches, but that would still leave many posts out.

The way I see it, we got two options for converting these pools:

A. The monotype team suggestion. This would allow for people to search for pokemon of a single type. However, you cannot determine what type, which the pools would and do currently account for.

B. The creation of various "X type pokemon". This would not only keep the key information of the Pokemon types and would probably be the closest to a proper pool-to-tag conversion, but however...That'd open the floodgates. To what, exactly, I do not know, but I have a feeling if we comment to "X type pokemon" it could serve as precedent for some other elemental system, when the "X type Pokemon" pools were no doubt created to facilitate type searching in a 323k copytag.

Which one we wanna do? Unless anyone else got any other ideas.

This thread is for converting collection pools that have already existed for a while to tags, if you want to propose a new tag then you should move those posts from pool to a favgroup and make your BUR in a new thread.

okay got it.
