Recently I had a couple of posts that got symbol-only commentary bot-added, despite the presence of hashtags.
I was under the impression that hashtags would count against the tag, given the current wording of the wiki and the fact that a clause related to hashtags was previously removed by NNT.
Clarification on the matter would be appreciated, so as to either remove the incorrectly applied tags or so I know to add it in the future.
I used to tag symbol + hashtag commentary with both symbol-only commentary and hashtag-only commentary, before determining this was in fact stupid and now just tag them with commentary. All the content is legible to English speakers so that's all you gotta add, imo.

The logic is that hashtags are links and not text and in most cases shouldn't be translated.
If I click on #Arknights I expect to be directed to a Twitter hashtag search for that exact text, not to one for #アークナイツ. It's like formatting Wikpedia links such as https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/アークナイツ to link to the English page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arknights) instead, it just makes no sense.
A tiny minority of sites like Tumblr regularly put a lot of content in hashtags, but those aren't even imported as commentary. And for hashtags that are full sentences, you can use [tn][/tn].
Also I wouldn't hold my breath on a consensus being reached this time around.
