Despite what the wiki says, the artist never actually requested to keep those account separate. @WRS just made that up (presumably, by misinterpreting a joke made by the artist and/or people in replies). The artworks dump at source:https://theflatfacadeds.fanbox.cc/posts/11462415 that was recently made free features works published under either name.

@hdk5 It's fine if they published works from different accounts under one, creating an active link between both accounts in some way: notice how you had to say "recent" dump. There was no such direct link in the past, so it wasn't "made up".

Keeping them separate was something done based on how they replied to other people as well as a message they left on their old account suggesting to keep their previous name a secret. It was a proactive decision on my part in case the artist truly wanted to remain separated from their previous identity.

There's no sense in risking the artist getting pissed off at us for linking their accounts if they don't want them to be and having their posts get banned, hence opting to interpret it as a genuine ask rather than a joke.

I am the artist. This tag is linked to three of my old deactivated accounts (users 1452565, 1454834, and 1486524). I request it be aliased to Laias_(artist_585423) for privacy reasons. The old accounts are deactivated and I no longer use that identifier.

@PremiumNate If it’s for privacy reasons, I recommend a rename instead of an alias. The alias would still show the old name when viewing your artist entry, and typing the old name in the searchbar would redirect to your new name.
