Well, it's not yuri, but the futa is still a girl, so I guess it might be legit.

Personally, I'd prefer them not to be considered as 'girls' either - to me, futa are "guys with boobs". But I also think that adding more tags wouldn't help at all, and probably just make things even more confused.
Basically, while it's not the way I'd -prefer-, I don't have a problem with 'futa == girl' as long as the definitions are clear. It's not like it's difficult to filter out futa posts if one doesn't want to see them.

Not liking Futa is perfectly reasonable, but 99% of futanari are unquestionably females who happen to have penises. "Men with boobs" are a different fetish entirely, actually. Those aren't generally considered Futanari, since they lack vaginas.
...Also, my experience is that the vast majority of futanari characters have strongly feminine facial features. I find it easier to imagine a flat-chested futanari than a male-faced one.
I could classify futanari either as separate gender or as girls with penises, but certainly not as boys.

Now that I think about it, maybe I'm conflating futa with "she-males" more than it deserves to be. I mean, it's not as if I don't like straight porn, at least so long as it's not overly explicit and the focus is on the girl. So, if futa really are girls in every way but one, why would I find futa-with-girls to be any worse than straight stuff - again, at least as long as it's not overly explicit with anatomical details..?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I'm going to have to go have a look through futa on female and give the stuff an honest chance. Although futa isn't yuri, some of it might be close enough to be considered for the "Almost Yuri" pool (pool #2138) that I started a while ago...

A girl doesn't just happen to have a penis, as if it's some minor little detail. It's a pretty major difference. Futas shouldn't count as girls for the purposes of the multiple_girls tags for the same reason they don't count as girls for the purposes of yuri.
And yes, you could filter futanari out of a 2girls search, but the point is you shouldn't have to because they shouldn't be there (well, aside perhaps from corner cases where you really do have two girls plus a futa or the like).
I really don't see any benefit in including futanari in 2girls. Most of the things currently under futanari 2girls should just be tagged futa_on_female or futa_on_futa and left at that.
