I might've suggested that as well, if it didn't come with a lot of alias-request baggage (especially on my part) for other human characters.

What about yanappu -> pansage, baoppu -> pansear and hiyappu -> panpour? Should we wait for a more official confirmation?

Gah, I propose a new rule: no making new Japanese pokemon char: names without a _(pokemon) qualifier because doing all these alises results in exactly the sort of ambiguity nightmare that we had to use the English names to avoid.

I'll do these for now but something really needs to change moving forward.

Personally I think all pokemon creatures should be qualified, because hundreds and hundreds of one word char tags is just a bad bad idea.
