I might be wrong,but shouldn't touhou project 1000 users be a pool rather than a tag? It doesn't seem to be a copyright all it's own,just a particular collection of pictures.

The issue with making it a tag is that there will never be a cue from the image itself that it should have that tag, making it impossible to "tag what you know". A parallel here would be pool #1250.
That said, given these images are not sequential and the criteria for inclusion are not subjective, I am not really all that opposed to keeping it as a tag. (It should be general and not copyright, though.)

We have some tags that require information from pixiv tags or artist's comment too, such as personification or otacool. Both this and pool #1250 cases are possible to be a tag or a pool, but I'm not a creator of the latter so I won't touch that.

It was made a copyright since it's one of pixiv events, I have no objection turning it to general though.

It's an enjoyable and interesting thing to know, no? 1000+ people like the same thing, then that thing's sure to have certain appeal. Plus the opinion mostly come from artist community who make those arts themselves, and thus are good to know IMHO.
I think the cheetsheet once said you could negate the pool metatag, but it looks like that's changed to just removing posts from pools. The trac regarding this was closed as 'wontfix' five months ago.
The problem with keeping this data here is that it regards this image with 8000 favorites, 11k ratings, and a score of 113k the same as this image with barely a thousand favorites, 2k ratings and a score of 18k.
My answer is yes, because the popularity for that tag are from those who draw. Just look at score:50.. on Danbooru, what do you see? Explicit and sexual images always get much higher score, while stuff like post #607366 has only 8.
But maybe I'm being bias... if the tag is that much of a bother, nuke it.

I don't care much about this tag either way, but this statement specifically is pretty farcical.

This is the most recent picture on the Touhou 1000 tag. You can go down the list of favorites there and you'll find that the vast majority of users who favorited it either have A. No pictures uploaded, or B. Only pictures that aren't up to our quality standards. This is true of basically anything on Pixiv.
Pixiv isn't just a site for uploading art. It's also a site for viewing that art, and the number of people who are solely viewers greatly outnumber the number of artists whose opinions supposedly have more weight.
