Tag implication: Engrish -> English

Reason:

I believe forum #69638 agreed that Engrish is a subset of English. (I checked out the individual opinions of the people there and found a less than 100%, but big, consensus) It is a long discussion with diverse related subjects and arguments, though, so I thought it might be easier to spot this implication if it had its own thread.

i've checked the english wiki and it says "text written correctly in English" since 2008-06-20 . didn't read the linked thread though. Cyberia-Mix has a point regarding increasing the search parameters as the result of an implication. i'm maybe biased but as a regular member this places us in a disadvantage when one tag already works (in searching). hopefully, one tag can be used for another thing. just an opinion.

Cyberia-Mix and ghostrigger, then please read the thread I linked to (forum #69638). It mentions, and replies to, the same criticisms you said here now.

The purpose of this thread was merely making a decision of that other thread (and the thread as a whole) more visible. I'm sorry if I didn't make this purpose clear, and I'm sorry if by creating this thread, I accidentally gave room for duplicating old arguments and discussions.

Feel free to state your points and replies, but please use forum #69638 for that.

You really need to stop bullying people into posting in other threads or stop posting new threads every time you want an implication created with the assumption that jxh is too lazy/dumb to read a preexisting thread.

I didn't get that feeling at all too be honest.

I'm not sure I'd call it bullying, but creating duplicate threads is a bad idea. Also summarizing a thread if necessary should be done in the thread itself, not put into a new discussion where the existing arguments for and against are less visible.

Maybe adding a summary by editing the OP would be the best option, in the future?

People can read the thread themselves and form their own thoughts. Summaries will always have inaccuracies, either due to misinterpretation or the summarizer's biases.

But in a technical forum, I really doubt that this would come into play.

Actually I didn't want to accuse anyone of anything so I left it out, but I was going to say exactly the same thing in my last post.

If you have an interest in a matter, it is way too easy to insert your own bias while summarizing, either intentionally or not. Moving the summary to another thread (thus removing the discussion from site) makes things even more potentially deceptive.
