Quoting Ola from post #1589656:
I feel the need to specify this before the huge amount of fanart hits us in February: When we upload alternate forms of the HappinessCharge Precure! Cures, do we tag the original form (in this case cure_princess) as well? Do we also include form_change and alternate_form? The same also applies to characters cosplaying as HaCha Cures and their alternate forms.
In any case, I tagged all of it here. Feel free to remove whatever you deem unnecessary.
I think it's the same as how upgraded outfits for the Cures in previous seasons are tagged, like Engage Mode from Dokidoki! Precure, Princess Form from Smile Precure!, Super Silhouette from Heartcatch Precure! and so on. The difference here is that the outfits for the HappinessCharge Cures are specific to a character, rather than palette-swapped costumes generally shared among the Cures in previous seasons. Even so, I think the same tagging convention can be used. Using post #1589656 as an example, the tags would be:
CHARACTER
- cure_princess (for her regular Cure form because she's still transformed into a magical girl)
- sherbet_ballet (for one of her official costumes)
- shirayuki_hime (her civilian identity)
I don't think things like alternate costume, form change, alternate form and so forth are necessary because - at least with alternate costume - the outfits are implied to not be canon. These costumes are canon, so I don't see the need to use these tags when the costume's character tag will suffice.
There's also the separate issue of cosplaying that needs mentioning with HaCha's multiple costumes. Using Cure Princess again, her *_(cosplay) tags would be:
COSPLAY
- cure_princess_(cosplay) (for cosplaying in her default Cure Princess costume)
- macadamia_hula_dance_(cosplay) (for cosplaying in her Macadamia Hula Dance costume)
- sherbet_ballet_(cosplay) (ditto with Sherbet Ballet)
- shirayuki_hime_(cosplay) (dressed up in her civilian clothes)
Pretending that we had a seiyuu connection + cosplay image using Cure Princess and Kizuki Kokone, both voiced by Han Megumi, and Kokone was dressed up in Sherbet Ballet, this is what I would tag it as:
I didn't add Cure_Princess and cure_princess_(cosplay) because Kokone is cosplaying as Cure Princess' Sherbet Ballet form, not as the default Cure Princess outfit, like in post #1580449. Plus I think the amount of character and cosplay tags would get too busy and cumbersome to type. On the flip side, the benefit of using the omitted tags is that they would compile any cosplay tags related to Cure Princess, regardless of what form they're dressing up as. Another option would be like this:
Here cure_princess_(cosplay) would function as an all-encompassing tag for any and all cosplays regardless of the form, and then sherbet_ballet can identify the costume. Thus a search like cure_princess_(cosplay) sherbet_ballet would be able to isolate any cosplays in the Sherbet Ballet costume.
Assuming that there will just be Cure Lovely, Cure Princess, Cure Honey and Cure Fortune in the series, and no other Cures are introduced, that may total up to twelve alternate forms:
- Cure Lovely / Lollipop Hip Hop / Cherry Flamenco
- Cure Princess / Macadamia Hula Dance / Sherbet Ballet
- Cure Honey / ?? / ??
- Cure Fortune / ?? / ??
Upon seeing that the four Cures would all have three costumes, I predicted it would become a nightmare to tag any cosplaying. In the end, it all boils down to what is the most efficient way to tag HaCha's alternate forms without getting too complicated and confusing future taggers.
