"obviously" it's different since thats her job. Although I'm sure no one really likes the Yama's and Shikigami's either.

I'd say the mirror is part of the job and if Eiki is as lawful as she often seems, just for the job. It's similar to gun rights in the US, though not in the way that some would claim it promotes personal defense and more in the way that detractors believe guns are too dangerous for commonplace possession and proponents feel that, when the weapon is treated properly, there's no big deal.

It could also be an Touhou-apples and Touhou-oranges kind of thing.

I still have trouble seeing Eiki as Lawfull-Good.

She seems more Lawfull-Evil to me.

Lawful Neutral wouldn't spend her break periods venturing out into the world lecturing people on how to avoid going to Hell. Caring about sinners to the point of advising them how to avoid damnation is a Good-alignment sort of behavior, especially when it involves sacrificing her own leisure and relaxation.

Naturally, that's canon, and this comic isn't necessarily staying true to her character. I seriously doubt the real Eiki would hold mind-reading against satori youkai considering that it's their nature, not their choice.
