For the record, the only reason I uploaded this and the others is because they're part of the comic, give important context, and contribute to the overall pacing. If blank pages and text-only pages are allowed on this basis, then things like this should be fair game, too.

I mean...one could still view the image as status:deleted when you watch the pool in order.
It doesn't need to be active in order to be viewed in order with the comic. That is, if you have that setting enabled.

As far as I can tell, deleted posts are always viewable as long as they're in a series pool. For example, every post in pool #6800 is deleted, but I can still view them from the pool's page. I can't do the same with deleted posts from collection pools (which is why I didn't bring it up earlier, as I thought it might have applied to series pools as well).

There's no obstacle to viewing these in the pool, so if other users think this should be flagged, that's fine, but I still hold that this is no different than uploading a blank page for a comic. Keep in mind that most of the posts under that tag are active, with over half of the active posts having gone through the mod queue.

Blank pages get deleted on the regular if flagged. I don't think having this post deleted hurts the viewing experience.

If something got deleted, it means that it shouldn't have been uploaded in the first place. So, good to know that you can't fully archive comics on the so-called "repository of high-quality anime-style art and doujinshi".

Just gonna say that context should absolutely be taken into account when judging a post for relevancy.

In the Monogatari series for example, and perhaps in the majority of Shaft works like Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei suddenly switching to a photorealistic, or even actual photograph only adds to the comedic factor that the author is trying to convey. It's a vision of pacing that is very much integral to the whole work and should be included at all times. And the same goes for blank page.

Saying that posts like this should be treated the same as off-topic toca band ai-generated garbagio is a terrible message to send to the community.

Can we stop flagging this, even for the shits and giggles? Seeing it in modqueue so often is annoying and it's just vandalism at this point, especially with this latest flag reason.

As others have said, it's approved in the context of the rest of the comic set. Feels like people haven't bothered reading the pool and/or don't understand what context and common sense is. We shouldn't be discouraging people from uploading contextually important pages out of fear of deletion, on a site where we culturally dislike "deleted" posts. It took over a year for this post to be posted, where it literally makes the surrounding story actually make sense.
