That whole serie is to Haruhi was Re-Take is to Evangelion.

I am so used to seeing Kyon as his female self in this series that I don't actually want him end up being male again.
Maybe Rokundenashi should keep the male Kyon around, and thus make a harem.
Besides, Kyon looks fitting with Kyon. Them two can be a couple after all.

The way the mouth is drawn totaly reminds me of Imizu's style.

Nagato's last line is really hard to translate for some reason!!

My intuition is that she's saying that Kyon has misunderstood her. If so, then the earlier translation was probably good enough. But it changed the meaning too much, and it was bugging me.

Another one-word translation that I spent an hour thinking about.

Re-Take's safe version is more popular. I had less trouble finding the toned down version than the real deal, and it wasn't plagued by Comic Sans.

So, this whole thing makes me wonder if the events of Herb were canon or not. I guess the answer is probably.

Is it just me or does the series almost seem to be taking on a darker connotation as it goes forward?

I think its the author realizing that slap stick and molestation can only take a series so far. I look forward to series getting more "dramatic" and "darker" like this, especially if it ends happily, it makes the happy ending so much more powerful.

Although in this case, I'm not sure what would make a happy ending.
