    This (there are 2 numbers between 5 and 21) is the sort of counting of forces that led Japanese culture to run off a cliff in 1937.

    Even being Chinese, I can completely believe Tokyo didn't want to fight China only 6 years after taking Manchuria, because they needed to build it up first before grabbing any more land.
