An improvised slat armor canopy that the Russian military began equipping to the turrets of their tanks in the lead up to the 2022 invasion of Ukraine. They were pejoratively termed "cope cages" as a meme by online communities expressing their skepticism of the effectiveness of them.

Following the prevalence of drone usage in the Russo-Ukrainian War and the Israel-Hamas War, Ukraine as well as many other countries have begun adopting cope cages as well. Tanks that have been seen using cope cages include the Merkava, Leopard 2, Type 90, Type 10, as well as donated equipment in Ukranian usage.
