Monica Rambeau is the second Captain Marvel in the Marvel comics universe, adopting the name from Mar-Vell after his death.
She would eventually adopt the name Photon, and later Spectrum. "Captain Marvel" would later be passed on to Phyla-vell, Mar-Vell's daughter.
