Based on Tina Fey's experience as a head writer on Saturday Night Live, the series follows Liz Lemon (played by Tina Fey) as head writer and showrunner of the fictional sketch comedy show, TGS with Tracy, located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York (30 Rock), where SNL is produced in real life.
