A franchise centering around the adventures of Marty McFly as he travels through time in the fictional California town of Hill Valley using a time machine in the form of a DeLorean. Popular since the first installment of its film trilogy was released in 1985 and became the year's highest-grossing movie, its cast includes Michael J. Fox as Marty and Christopher Lloyd as Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown, the time machine's inventor.
