The ferret (Mustela putorius furo) is the domesticated form of the European polecat, a member of the weasel genus Mustela. Their fur is typically brown, black, white, or mixed. They have long, slender bodies, with an average length of about 50 cm (20 in).

A group of ferrets is called a "business".
