The assault rifle variant of the FN SCAR, chambered for 5.56×45mm NATO cartridge. Also known as the SCAR-L or Mk16. Distinguishable by its curved 30-round STANAG magazine. The tag can also be applied to the more compact SCAR-SC.
Its semi-auto civilian variant is referred to as the SCAR 16S.
