gary oak
"Gary was here! Ash is a loser!"
A character of the Pokemon anime (and related manga), he is Ash's first rival and the grandson of Professor Oak. Known in Japan as as Ookido Shigeru.
His Japanese name is a reference to Shigeru Miyamoto.
