Traditional Japanese sandals with a wooden sole raised off the ground by two teeth (called ha), and held onto the foot with a fabric thong (hanao). There is also a specific style called Tengu-geta, which has only a single peg in the middle.

Not to be confused with okobo, which are also elevated from the ground, but are made with a single platform running the entire length of the sandal instead of the teeth of the geta.
