A mecha from Gundam. It first appeared in the Gundam 0083 OVA from 1991.

The RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis" is the second mobile suit unit of the Gundam Development Program carried out by Anaheim Electronics.

The heavy assault unit, Physalis, was designed as a beefy, high-powered fortress buster - and for that purpose, it was armed with a mighty bazooka loaded with a forbidden weapon, a Mk. 82 nuclear warhead.

The unit was stolen and used by Zeon ace Anavel Gato, who succeeded in firing the nuke at Solomon and display to the world that the Federation would dare violate the Antarctic Treaty.

Designed by Kawamori Shouji, famous for his previous work in Macross.
