Chairman Akikawa's secretary, Tazuna Hayakawa serves as the main tutorial and guidance NPC in-game, advising the Trainer (player) with scenario mechanics, recommended stats to train, or what their trainee is lacking. While a supporting character in every scenario, it was only with the "Tracen-ken" scenario that she became a mechanically relevant character while still keeping herself to a supporting role.
While never confirmed, numerous in-game events and supplementary materials have heavily hinted that Tazuna is secretly a horse girl herself: she's able to outrun misbehaving students, shows a level of nostalgic fondness for races, and the few times she's depicted without her hat are conspicuously framed to hide the top of her head. In particular, fans speculate that she is the Umamusume counterpart to famous 1949 racehorse Tokino Minoru, as she shares his birthday and his jockey's worn colors, has a special interest in races historically tied to him, and strongly fusses over students' healthcare (the horse having died of sepsis).
She has long brown hair in a split ponytail and green eyes. She wears a green double-breasted skirt suit and a green bowler hat with a horseshoe ornament.
