A Special Administrative Region and city of the People's Republic of China. Formerly a British outpost, it grew into one of the largest and wealthiest cities in East Asia. Known for its neon lights and extremely densely packed buildings that heavily influenced the cyberpunk genre.
In 2019, the Chinese government applied more pressure to the city, causing the 2019-2020 Hong Kong protests.
