A room used for cooking in a house or commercial establishment, such as a restaurant.

Home kitchens usually contain a refrigerator, an oven or stove, cupboards, cabinets, counters, a sink, and sometimes a table. Professional kitchens may contain stainless steel working tables, larger sinks, and numerous cooking pots, pans, and utensils. Depending on the establishment, there may be different appliances such as a grill, a rotisserie, a pizza oven, and so forth.

A kitchen designed around baking breads and confections is called a bakery.
