He was one of the previous incarnations of the Avatar, a powerful being who can control all four elements. He was a Waterbender who succeeded Avatar Yangchen and preceded Avatar Kyoshi, Roku, and Aang.

He has dark skin, brown hair, and wears a polar bear pelt.
