lieutenant colonel william kilgore
William "Bill" Kilgore (1921-) was a Lieutenant-Colonel of the US Army, and a commander of 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment during the Vietnam War. He is a character from the 1979 film Apocalypse Now.
In the film, Kilgore is often portrayed wearing aviator sunglasses, a campaign hat, and a yellow ascot inside his green shirt of the military uniform. See post #6258560 for reference.
