poseidon (mythology)
Poseidon or Posidon is one of the twelve Olympian deities of the pantheon in Greek mythology. His main domain is the ocean, and he is called the "God of the Sea". He is usually depicted as an older male with curly hair and beard holding a trident.
Infamous for his roles in creating many female monstrosities as an indirect result of his tendency to rape someone, with the victim often being cursed by a jealous goddess into a monster (such as Medusa and Scylla).
