Migawari (Japanese, meaning Scapegoat), Substitute (English)
A move in Pokémon media, which sacrifices some HP to create a decoy. When an opponent wants to attack the Pokémon who used Substitute, the Substitute is attacked instead.
In virtually all games, the Substitute is a green reptilian doll. In the anime and manga, sometimes the Substitute appears as a clone of whoever used the move.
