super robot wars
(スーパーロボットたいせんシリーズ, Super Robot Taisen Series, "Super Robot Wars Series"), abbreviated as "SupaRobo" or "SRW".
A long-running, cross-platform strategic RPG video game series by Banpresto. Its premise is that it combines the characters, stories and (most importantly) mecha of various super robot and mecha science fiction anime series.
This tag refers in particular to original characters created by Banpresto for the games (as well as other elements exclusive to them).
As of June 2, 2021, the series holds the Guinness World Record for most intellectual property licenses used in a role-playing videogame series, with a total of 274 licenses.
