Tokusatsu (lit. "special effects") is a genre of Japanese superhero/kaiju live action film or TV shows. It was made popular by series like Ultraman, Super Sentai and Kamen Rider.
Often features full-body costumed actors, intense choreography, numerous action scenes, as well as considerable use of special effects.
