ushiromiya maria

Character from Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, and Battler's 9-year-old cousin. She is fascinated by the occult, and especially by the legends of Beatrice. She has a rather troubled relationship with her mother Rosa and has no friends, to the point that her best friend is her stuffed lion Sakutarou. She often makes a sort of whining "uu~" sound that she repeats over and over.

She has purple eyes, medium brown hair and a flat chest. She wears a mini crown that's fixed to her head by a red ribbon, a frilled pink shirt with a black dress fixed by a black cross-laced corset on top (sometimes drawn detached and instead with a black skirt), frilled socks and red mary janes. She may also be seen carrying her pink handbag adorned with a red bow.

In the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable port of Umineko, she also has a set of sprites exclusive to this version where she may instead be wearing a hooded yellow coat with a rabbit hood, fur-trimmed sleeves, a rabbit print, and drawstring with pom poms at the ends, a pink frilled collared shirt with center frills and a red ascot, and a pleated red skirt.

Her witch alter-ego is MARIA, the Witch of Origins.
