I agree. There's a lot of outdated information that doesn't reflect current Danbooru. Especially "the favorites of some of Danbooru's most beloved members" part, which all but one aren't active anymore.

I went ahead and removed that specific part because it's just so bad.

Did a cleanup to howto:get_started's lingo and moved them to help:glossary.
Better keep all "language features" done by the Lady Garegga.

I thank you for alerting here and your help, but i'd suggest next time to suggest a change before applying changes for "technical" wiki pages like this, to keep things in order. You put in the terms in a different category, but they can be easily separated and fit in the other already existing categories.

Removed the Lingo section. It was still unsorted, and i think it's unneeded since those terms were either synonyms ("attire means outfit") or explaination of things explained somewherelse (like the definition of Copyright).

Bump.

New term proposal: "Grandfathered Copyright"

Draft:

Danbooru often uses Japanese names for copyright titles and character names. But, there are some which is "grandfathered". A grandfathered copyright means it will use English/North American names for either copyright titles, character names, or both. It is split into:

Partially Grandfathered

Summary: The copryright tags might use English names but character names use Japanese names. It can be vice versa: Copyright JP, Character EN.

Completely Grandfathered

Summary: Both copyright tags and character tags will use North American names.

I'd like to add "Pet Tag" to the list, but i have trouble explaining the meaning myself.
From what i gathered, the meaning is along the lines of "tag made by one user to act as personal gallery, usually with too strict requirements to be helpful to the community".

EDIT: changed topic name to be more relevant to current discussion.
