Time stopping Sakuya = Paladin Cecil
Meiling = Kain
Alice = Rydia
Flandre = Original king of Baron (Odin)
Remilia = Rosa, the main character romantic interest
Patchouli = Cid, for inventing "magical" flying aircrafts

Reimu = Rubicante, the flame elemental boss
Nittori = Cagnazzo, water elemental boss
Aya = Barabariccia, wind elemental boss

And perhaps the Subterranean Animism cast as dwellers of the subterranean world... (Oh, my, what a twist...)

Last time I checked Mokou never placed a little girl who wanted to go flower gazing under house arrest, rob a village and prevent an innocent girl from being revived, strip Gensokyo of it's defenses against a Lunar invasion, oppress other religions, endorse slave labor, or KILL AN ENTIRE WORLD for it's creator's belief in the free market.

Sakuya's mask is maybe a reference to Touhou Mother. In this fangame she's an enemy and wears a mind-controlling mask while you fight her.

Personally, I think Meiling would fit better as Yang than as Kain, and Nitori would make the best Cid (Patchouli would make a good Tellah).

Uhhhh, Remilia would be better as Odin, since she wields the Gungnir, the trademark weapon for Odin, also, the king of Baron was something like the boss of Cecil so... it fits, Flandre would be better if she is a fucking Brachiorados or something

Yeah, you're probably right. I was going to suggest Remilia as Kain due to her use of spears and frequent partnership with Sakuya in Touhou (such as Imperishable Night), but I guess the role of Odin would suit her better. Better than casting her as Rosa, of all people.

However, there's still the matter of who would fill the role of Kain (if Meiling were Yang).

tagged number_pun due to 398=Sakuya. No idea if 312 is meaningful for Meiling or not.
