chinese track school uniform
First introduced in the 1990s, schools in mainland China started using a track suit styled school uniform. It is not literally for gym or track, instead worn as a regular all purpose school uniform. Usually blue and white in color and has a polo shirt underneath.
The track suit is usually quite baggy and are unisex, both male and female students wear the same uniforms. They are regarded by many Chinese students as unattractive, but are often appreciated for their comfort and sometimes fawned by students of other countries.
Similarly, versions using other sportswear as school uniforms such as letterman jackets also exist. Certain school may also have a more aesthetic uniform set such as the traditional blazer set intended for formal events.
