A Teacher in the Office Academy at Garreg Mach Monastery, in charge of armed combat training, his specialty being swords and lances.
He's also the Death Knight, the dreaded Skull-Masked knight, and his actual loyatly belongs to the Adrestian Empire.
He was born as Emile von Bartels, and is Mercedes's half-brother.
